The 7 Chakras

 The 7 Chakras

It is important to know the meaning and function of each chakra and also what the energy pathway of each chakra represents.  The 7 chakras each have their own meaning and function.  Each chakra represents a different aspect of the overall energy structure of the human body.  The energy of the root chakra (Nadi Shakti) governs all physical aspects of the body.  The energy of the sacral chakra (Soma) governs emotions.  The energy of the throat chakra (Tamas) governs intellect.  The energy of the crown chakra (Pasha) governs all kinds of self-actualization and self-mastery.  The energy of the third eye (Citta) governs everything that is connected to the Nadi (Pulse). The energy of the fourth eye (Kunjara) governs spirit and non-physical realms.

Root Chakra (Muladhara)

The root chakra is also known as the origin chakra. It is at the base of the spine. This is the last of 7 chakras It is red in color and allows the body, mind, and spirit to connect with the earth. It is basically a cycle of female nature, fusing us with the power of the earth. If the peritoneal cycle is not active, constipation, rheumatism, hemorrhoids, frequent urination, hypertension, kidney stones, neonatal and pelvic problems may be present.

Sacral Chakra (Swadishtana)

The sacral chakra is 3 inches below the navel. This is the sixth of 7 chakras. Its color is saffron. It is responsible for expressing our feelings and is responsible for sexual feelings. If the sacral chakra is not active, it may cause fluctuations in menstruation, menstrual problems, uterine problems, irritable bowel syndrome, endometriosis, testicular disease, and so on.  In many instances, the Sacral Chakra is associated with physical attraction and fascination, sensual enjoyment, fertility, love, pleasure, and intimacy. Although this can be a positive experience, it can also be an unhealthy type of seeking that is dictated by the appetite of the ego and their needs for attachment, growth, and security.  In some cases, this can lead to obsessive, compulsive behaviors and behaviors of abuse, betrayal, and control.

Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)

The Solar Plexus Chakra is located on the stomach. This is the fifth of 7 chakras. Its color is yellow. It is associated with intuition. The specific functions that this chakra controls our emotion, digestion, sexual passion, empathy, self-expression, awareness, and sense of touch. It is located at the bottom part of our spine and is usually on the right side, but is sometimes located on the left side.  If the Solar Plexus Chakra is not activated it can lead to diabetes, pancreatitis, gastrointestinal disease, gallbladder ulcer, calyx disease, bladder stones.

Heart Chakra (Anahata)

The chakra is fixed to the upper edge of the heart in the center of the chest. This is the fourth of 7 chakras. Its color is green. The air is characteristic of this chakra. Suppresses the physical and chemical functions of the heart, lungs, and nerves.

Throat Chakra (Vissudha)

It is present in the throat and lungs. This is the third of 7 chakras. If our sensory chakra is not activated, it can cause thyroid problems - ie, the thyroid may function less or less than normal, or it can cause anorexia nervosa (a problem with more than one cycle), asthma, bronchitis, and tinnitus. This can exacerbate problems related to the cycle of digestion.

Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)

The third eye chakra sits in the center of the forehead. This is the second of 7 chakras. Unless our third eye chakra is activated, it can cause stress, headaches, migraines, vision problems, vision loss, glaucoma, motility, sinus problems, ear problems, and so on.

Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)

The Crown Chakra is also known as the "Chakra on the Head" which is placed over the head and brain. This is the first of 7 chakras. Its color is purple. It is God and the cause of consciousness. This chakra is necessary to awaken to the state of Nirvana in Buddhism. If this cycle can be balanced, then all the other chakras are balanced. However, it is known that man alone cannot balance this cycle. If the millennial cycle is not active, it can cause depression, Parkinson's syndrome, schizophrenia, epilepsy, sentinel dementia, Alzheimer's disease, other mental disorders, confusion, and dizziness.

Conclusion

While it's quite fun to theorize about the origins and power of the chakras, one of the things that are perhaps the most important aspect to understand about them is the fact that they are energy centers, and thus, each chakra is an energetic resource for the body. They are not physical bodies themselves, but centers that work with the chakras to draw up a specific type of energy into the body. From the article on chakra definitions (somewhat outdated, but still useful):  "They are most often pictured as swirling yellow or green. However, all chakras are usually opalescent colors, but the color varies according to the chakra.
